Anne Sladky compiled the book, Celebrating Our Norwegian Minnesotan Heritage, 1858-2009, about pioneers settling in Minnesota prior to statehood.

Marilyn Somdahl congratulates Gary Erickson with the
Møre og Romsdal 2010 centennial weaving at Rochester, MN.
Artist Bob Paulson, Oklee, MN - weaver who created the Møre og Romsdal weaving.

Syvilla Tweed Bolson created the Nordlandslag weaving for the 2009 celebration of their 100th year.  She has mastered several techniques and teaches at Vesterheim.

 

Lois Mueller who rosemaled the Gudbrandsdal Lag's plate. She was designated as a Vesterheim Gold Medalist in Rosemaling some years ago.
 

This is the 2008 Trønderlag gift done in the merakervev technique of weaving by Betty Johannesen.  She holds a Vesterheim Gold Medal in weaving.

 

This weaving, in the rya pile technique, also created by Betty Johannesen, for BF's gift to Vosselag in 2009.

Weavings by artist Syvilla Tweed Bolson, commissioned by Fellesraad 
for lags celebrating 100 year anniversaries in 2008. 

The large stylized lily pattern in rutevev is typical of Sogn and 
woven of Spelsau wool yarn from Norway.
This darker weave called Flesbergplegg, in a pattern from the 
Ørnstein farm in Numedal, is in a coverlet weight Spelsau wool 
Norwegian yarn.
